I have a lot of favorite places to buy fish in Seattle, but there is one that sticks out above the rest. I share the best place to buy seafood in Seattle and all my insider tips of what to buy at each of my other favorites around the city.

It was really difficult to pick the best place to buy seafood in Seattle because we have so many great fish markets given our access to the sea. Here are my other favorite places to find the best seafood in Seattle.

This 2,210-square-foot house from 1941 was in Whittier Heights, the neighborhood next to Phinney Ridge. It had three bedrooms and two bathrooms, fireplaces in the living room and the lower-level family room, a kitchen with updated stainless steel appliances (but no dishwasher), a covered back porch and a spacious backyard abutting an apartment building. The asking price was $899,900.

Danielle and Colin Lloyd did what many Americans have done over the years: look much farther away to find a place they can afford to buy. It's often called "drive until you qualify." And they just bought a house in Walnut Grove, Georgia.

"I love the idea of like when the kids are a little older saying, 'Yeah, go play at your friend's house.'" Danielle imagines what it will be like watching them run over to the neighbor's place: "I can see them, like, at the corner, you know. 'I'll watch you ride over there,'" she says. "I love that."

The number of inexpensive places to eat, especially Indian and southeast Asian cuisines, makes the Ave the best place to find a budget-friendly and tasty meal. If you want to head inside, lose yourself in the cavernous University Book Store, which takes up an entire city block.

The truth is, there is no one single best location to invest in real estate. If that were the case, every investor would be piling into the same place and quickly diminish the potential returns of investing there.

The technology industry is thriving in the Seattle region, deeply rooted by homegrown giants Amazon and Microsoft, along with Expedia and Nintendo. Facebook, Google, and other Bay Area companies also have satellite offices here. But other industries such as aerospace and retail/fashion drive the local economy as well, with Boeing, REI, Nordstrom, Starbucks, Costco, and Blue Origin all headquartered in the area. Housing is in high demand with many people relocating to the area for employment making Seattle the best place to build your new construction home. Plus, Toll Brothers luxury communities are located near major employment hubs.

The Seattle area is also known for its impressive dining scene, with fresh seafood and some of the best sushi out of Japan. Coffee is inherent to the Seattle culture and even though it is the birthplace of Starbucks there are also many independent roasteries and coffee and tea bars throughout the region. Craft breweries abound as well, and Woodinville wine county is a destination on the eastside. If sports are more your speed, Seattle fans love their teams, including the beloved Seahawks and Sounders, the Seattle Storm, Seattle Mariners, and the newest addition, the hockey team, Seattle Kraken. 041b061a72
